How we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use Navamsha APIs, the developer dashboard, and related services.

Overview

Navamsha ("we", "us", "our") operates Navamsha Astrology API Hub from India.

Navamsha is a developer platform for Vedic astrology calculations. We process account data for hub operators and expect API customers to treat birth details and chart outputs as sensitive end-user data in their own applications.

Information we collect

We collect information necessary to operate accounts, meter usage, prevent abuse, and provide support.

  • Account details: name, email, organization name, authentication provider metadata.
  • API key metadata: hashed keys, prefixes, labels, creation and revocation timestamps.
  • Usage records: endpoint paths, timestamps, credit consumption, status codes, and organization identifiers.
  • Billing data: plan selection, credit ledger entries, and payment references when paid plans are active.
  • Support and contact submissions: messages you send through our contact forms or email.
  • Technical logs: IP addresses, user agents, and request diagnostics for reliability and security.

Birth data and API payloads

Developers submit birth date, time, location, and related calculation inputs to our APIs. We process this data to return astrological calculations.

You are responsible for obtaining lawful consent from your end users, publishing your own privacy notice, and applying appropriate retention limits in your product.

We do not sell birth data or chart payloads to third-party data brokers.

How we use information

We use collected information to run and improve the platform.

  • Authenticate users and authorize dashboard and admin access.
  • Issue, validate, and revoke API keys.
  • Measure usage, enforce quotas, and prepare billing.
  • Detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
  • Respond to support requests and product inquiries.
  • Maintain service reliability, analytics, and product development.

When we share information

We share data only with processors that help us operate the service — for example cloud hosting, email delivery, and payment providers when billing is enabled.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent harm. We do not share customer lists for unrelated marketing.

Retention and security

We retain account, usage, and billing records for as long as your organization remains active and as required for legal, tax, and dispute resolution obligations.

Raw API keys are shown once at creation and stored only in hashed form. We apply access controls, encryption in transit, and operational monitoring appropriate to a production API platform.

Your choices and rights

You may update account details in the dashboard, revoke API keys, or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion subject to legal and billing retention requirements.

If you are an end user of a third-party app built on Navamsha, contact that app operator first — they control how your birth data is collected and displayed.
